Wild mountain thyme buds
These are the flowering tips of wild Anatolian thyme, which are harvested just before or at the very start of blooming. These buds are prized because they contain the highest concentration of aromatic essential oils—especially thymol and carvacrol—so their flavour and medicinal strength are at their peak. The buds are harvested from mountain-growing wild thyme during every spring/early summer.
For cooking, please crush the buds to release its aromatic flavour. You can use it in pastas, meat dishes, gravies, sauces etc.
Health benefits: A very potent anti-viral and anti-bacterial medicinal tea when used in bigger amounts - it can help u recover from a bad cold, reduce terrible pain in sore throat, fight off all kinds of infections and illnesses. My recommended cold/flu tea remedy is brewing 1 table spoon of crushed thyme buds with half cup of water + 1/2 teaspoon black pepper + 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder and adding lemon juice + honey when its less hot. Take it warm and concentrated in a small cup, 3 times a day. You will definitely recover in 1-2 days time.
