My purpose
Before the creation of Vizü, my interest in plant oils and herbalism have led me to many explorations such as food and nutrition, TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), DIY skincare experiments, plant lore and mythology, ethnobotany, health and wellness etc.
Surrounded by loved ones and friends suffering from musculoskeletal pains, psoriasis, eczema and physical urticaria, I empathise with the trauma and discomfort which comes with these conditions. Years of researching, studying and sampling have led me to help alleviate the effects of these conditions, and I am very humbled by the encouraging results shown through the natural healing of plants. Because of this, I pursued a diploma in Traditional Herbology to further my learning.
I am also blessed to have amazing friends around the globe who are professional health and medical practitioners, healers, permaculturists and herbalists. These friends have shared with me precious wisdom and priceless advice from their field of expertise; helping me to continuously improve on my work with Vizü.
Our vision and mission
As I became Vizü, the mission of Vizü is to share knowledge about healing plants (plant medicine), and most importantly - learning how to utilise them safely for humans and animals. The vision of Vizü is to create a reliable, unbiased, easy-to-understand educational website for everyone who has interest in natural remedies. The mission of Vizü is also to share awareness on the botanical sustainability of each of these healing plants/trees. Without them, the ecosystem will collapse. We are in this biosphere together, co-dependent and co-habiting with one another.
Our website + remedies will always be a work-in-progress project as there are always new articles being researched and being published. New botanical species are constantly being discovered, and in the aromatherapy world; a new plant is being distilled or extracted etc. Science is always trying to catch up with Nature :)
At Vizü, we aim to lessen the environmental impact on our planet, and we do so by striving to be a fully plant-based brand. I have always been inspired by our ancestors and indigenous groups who only take what they need from their natural surroundings. They respect the Earth and have always been sustaining their natural resources for future generations. Their environmentally-conscious ways enable them to make use of fauna and flora for food and architecture, without depleting precious resources.
As an ecologically-responsible brand, we use minimal packaging products and employ re-usable materials as much as we can. We are happy to be collaborating with Package Pals for sustainable use of 2nd hand packaging such as bubblewraps and padded mailers.
