Product Details

Your aromatic perfume oil will be freshly crafted in a 15g roll-on glass bottle. The base ingredients are made with cold-pressed organic jojoba seed oil, and stabilised with natural anti-oxidant, rosemary CO2 extract. There is no minimum nor maximum selection for the checkboxes, so feel free to select any of them. Your perfume oil takes about 1-2 months to fully mature in its scent. The more complex the formulation, the aroma evolves even more drastically. So don't be surprised to find your scent growing and changing along the way :) It will only get better!

About the different notes of perfume, taken from perfume.org

Overall, there are three note scales that when blended together create the perfume's fragrant accord.

Top notes

Also sometimes referred to as the opening notes or head notes, the top notes of a fragrance are generally the lightest of all the notes. They are recognised immediately upon application of the perfume. The top notes are also the first to fade given their light molecular structure, but this does not mean they aren't of utmost importance.

The top notes represent the first impression. It is hugely important that the top notes not only succeed at luring you in, but also smoothly transition into the heart of the perfume. Common top notes include citrus (lemon, orange zest, bergamot) and herbs (clary sage, lavender).

The Middle Notes
The middle notes, or the heart notes, make an appearance once the top notes evaporate. The middle notes are considered the heart of the fragrance. They last longer than the top notes and have a strong influence on the base notes to come. A perfume's heart is generally pleasant and well-rounded. It is often a smooth combination of floral or fruit tones; sometimes infused with spices like cinnamon, black pepper or cardamom.

Common middle notes include geranium, rose, lemongrass, ylang ylang, lavender, black pepper, neroli and jasmine.

The Base Notes
The base notes are the final perfume notes that appear once the top notes are completely evaporated. The base notes mingle with the heart notes to create the full body of the perfume, but are typically associated with the dry-down period. The job of the base notes is to provide the lasting impression. These often rich notes linger on the skin for hours after the top notes have dissipated.

Common base notes include cedarwood, sandalwood, vanilla, amber, patchouli, oakmoss.

Without the combination of the three levels of notes, a perfume just wouldn't be aromatically appealing. But together, they create beautiful scents.

Natural perfume VS synthetic fragrance

Do not expect your natural perfume to have the staying power of a synthetic scent/commercial fragrance. However, that's actually a part of it's charm. Natural perfumes are gentler, more complex, with more subtle nuances and a more intriguing personality. Moreover, using natural plant extracts are beneficial for your health, well-being, and even for our environment!

Synthetic molecules from commercial perfumes are engineered to maintain their scent to stay the same over long period of time - unlike natural ingredients which, by their very nature, will break down over the minutes and hours and expose many different notes and nuances as they do. In addition, synthetic fragrances contain many other chemical additives designed to help the scent adhere to the skin and last longer; projecting a stronger scent trail.

Tips

Keep your natural perfume away from direct sunlight/light and heat will ensure a longer shelf life. Generally it is good to use over 2 years. For those with sensitive skin, kindly do a patch test first.

Lastly, do not rub the perfume on your skin as they will quickly break down the delicate top notes and make your natural scent disappear more quickly. Roll on, and leave them to work its aromatic magic.

Kindly allow 7 working days for crafting your personalised blend. The formula of your perfume will be printed and given to you for reference :) HAVE FUN!
